Students in 221 have been observing pumpkins and making predictions. We broke into 5 groups. Each group was assigned a different pumpkin. We named named our pumpkins. We wrote about our pumpkins to describe them. We measured the height with a ruler. We measured the circumference with yarn. We estimated how many seeds were in each one. We also hypothesized which pumpkin had the most seeds. We will use the scientific method to form a conclusion. We will cut our pumpkins open on Monday, October 26 and begin to count the seeds. Which pumpkin do you think has the most seeds?
